Physics Laboratory
Our state-of-the-art Physics Laboratory is equipped with modern equipment to help students understand the concepts of Physics through experiments. It is designed to provide practical experience in taking measurements, analysing data, and drawing inferences while conducting experiments.
Students spend most of their time at their laboratory tables performing experiments independently. There is ample space in the middle of the room for large-scale experiments. The laboratory is well equipped with instruments such as meter bridges, battery eliminators, potentiometers, Hooke’s apparatus, etc. Students can also observe resonance conditions, which make the learning experience attractive and interactive. The pinboards on each wall are decorated with suitable charts, maps, illustrations, and quotations, while various models made by students are displayed throughout the laboratory. The laboratory provides an engaging environment that inspires students to appreciate both the laboratory and the subject of Physics.
What makes the laboratory even more significant is the active participation of students and the guidance of the teacher.
Biology Laboratory
Kendriya Vidyalaya Pithoragarh has always given importance to innovation and technology. The objective is to enable hands-on learning for students, with “Learning by Doing” as the guiding principle of our Biology Laboratory. The laboratory provides students with a wide range of facilities, from specimens to innovative learning resources.
The laboratory has permanent anatomical slides of plants and is equipped with simple and compound microscopes that enable students to observe and study slides. The availability of microscopes provides students with ample opportunities for practical learning. The laboratory also has measuring devices such as analytical balances, along with a variety of apparatus for physiological and ecological experiments. It is well supplied with chemicals, thermometers, and other apparatus required by students to conduct experiments. Through practical experiments, students gain firsthand knowledge and develop a better understanding and appreciation of various concepts of Biology.
Chemistry Laboratory
A Chemistry Laboratory is an essential facility for conducting experiments, practical activities, and research related to Chemistry. It provides students with opportunities to investigate materials and substances, understand their properties, and explore chemical processes through practical experimentation.
The laboratory enables students to study different substances, understand chemical reactions, analyse materials, and investigate real-world problems through systematic experimentation. It also provides opportunities to explore new and alternative materials and understand their properties and applications. Through practical activities, students develop scientific thinking, problem-solving skills, and a deeper understanding of various concepts in Chemistry.
